The foundation of The Light Center
Core Beliefs: The core beliefs of The Light Center are grounded in the timeless truths of the Bible. These foundational doctrines shape every aspect of our teaching, ministry, and daily walk of faith. Everything we do flows from our commitment to the Word of God and its life-giving principles.
God: We believe in one eternal God, who exists in three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. He is the sovereign Creator of all things, both seen and unseen, and is alone worthy of all glory, honor, and praise. God is perfect in His love, power, holiness, goodness, knowledge, wisdom, justice, and mercy. Unchanging in nature, He remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.
Revelation: God has made Himself known to us through His Son, Jesus Christ—the visible image of the invisible God—through the inspired Word of Scripture, and through the beauty and order of all creation. In the Book of Revelation, God unveils His divine plan and ultimate victory, reminding us that He is both the Author of history and the Redeemer of all who believe. Through these revelations, we come to know His character, His purpose, and His eternal glory.
Mankind: Humanity—both male and female—was created in the image of God, uniquely designed to reflect His glory and character (Genesis 1:26–27). In His perfect wisdom, God formed Adam and Eve without sin and entrusted them with stewardship over all creation (Genesis 1:28–30; 2:15). As image-bearers, they were called to live in fellowship with God, caring for His creation and fulfilling His divine purpose on the earth.
The Fall: When Adam and Eve chose to disobey God, they sinned and fell short of the purpose for which they were created. As a result, the image of God in humanity became distorted, and they were separated from fellowship with Him (Genesis 3:1–24; Romans 5:12). This act of disobedience introduced sin and brokenness into the world, fracturing not only the human condition but all of creation itself (Romans 8:20–22).
Salvation: Jesus Christ came to restore our broken relationship with God. He lived a sinless life and willingly gave Himself as a sacrifice on the cross, bearing the penalty for our sins (2 Corinthians 5:21; 1 Peter 2:24). On the third day, God raised Him from the dead, triumphing over sin and death (1 Corinthians 15:3–4). Through His resurrection, God now offers the free gift of eternal life—by grace through faith—to all who trust in Jesus as Lord and Savior (Ephesians 2:8–9; Romans 10:9). This is why salvation is found in Christ alone (Acts 4:12).
The Church: The Church is called to be the visible body of Christ on earth, commissioned to glorify God and boldly proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ to the world (Matthew 28:18-20; 1 Corinthians 12:27).
Resurrection: Christ will one day return to judge the living and the dead, bringing justice and fulfillment to God's promises. His return will usher in the complete and eternal establishment of God's Kingdom on earth (Matthew 25:31-46; Revelation 21:1-4).
